Render an image

Render the current Tridi Viewer scene to PNG or JPEG with transparent or solid backgrounds, custom sizes, and optional supersampling.

Applies to Tridi Viewer 1.4.0 release. Release notes

Render Image captures the current 3D presentation to a still image without including the application interface.

Render the current view

  1. Frame the model and choose the presentation you want in the 3D viewport.
  2. Select Render Image from the toolbar.
  3. Choose PNG or JPEG, the output size, and the background mode.
  4. Optionally enable 2x supersampling for a higher-quality downsampled result.
  5. Choose a destination and render the image.

Output options

  • Format: PNG or JPEG.
  • Background: current environment, transparent, or a solid color where supported by the selected output format.
  • Size: viewport size, fixed presets, or a custom width and height.
  • Supersampling: optional 2x rendering before the final image is written.

What is excluded

Render Image is intended to capture the clean model presentation. Grid, ground shadow, selection overlays, the Dimensions panel, UV View, and ImGui interface elements are excluded from the rendered image.
